Obituary for Viola C. Friedman (Spezio)

Viola C. Friedman, 91, of Jackson Township, Stroudsburg, passed away on Saturday, June 4 in Alexandria Manor-Bath.

Born in Jamesburg, NJ, she was a daughter of the late John and Minnie (Costlow) Spezio.

Viola had worked for Continental Can in Milltown, NJ for over twenty five years before retiring in 1991.

An avid canasta player in her younger years, she enjoyed bird watching and especially enjoyed caring for her great grandson.

She is survived by a son, Frank DeMarc of Brick, NJ; two grandchildren, Kelly Ginsburg of Sciota and Andria DeMarc of Brick and four great grandchildren, Aaron Ginsburg, Emma Mallon, Elizabeth Medlin and Kathleen Medlin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ramona Torok, a grandson, Frank DeMarc Jr., four sisters, Dorothy, Marianne, Sarah and Ruth and by a brother, John Jr.

Private services will be held in NJ at a later date. Cremation will take place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery in Jamesburg, NJ.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
