Obituary for William W. Henning

William Walter Henning, 73, of Effort, passed away Saturday, November 7 in St. Luke's Hospital-Monroe Campus.

He was the loving husband of Reggi (Cinkaj) Henning. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in April.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late William Henry Henning and the late Alma Alberta (Shotwell) Henning.

William was a chemical operator for Hoffman LaRoche in Belvidere, NJ for twenty seven years. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the 9th Infantry Division. He enjoyed woodworking, and loved his Ford Ranger trucks. He enjoyed spending time with his family and Vietnam friends. Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael Henning, Eric Henning; two brothers, Bob Henning and Wilbur Henning; four grandsons, Scott, Cory, Tyler, Kyle; two granddaughters, Brittnie Henning and Brittany Stepp; and a great granddaughter, Jordyn Elizabeth Saranovic. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Emil J. Henning.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 12 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. Funeral services with full military honors will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. David Felker officiating.
