Condolence From: Sal Giacchi
Condolence: To Kathy, all the children and Penny, Dennis & Maureen
I was fortunate to have been introduced to this wonderful family through my marriage to Bobby's first cousin, Barbara (Savoia) Giacchi.

You know when a guy like Bobby leaves us, we are in a state of shock as if it never should have happened. So full of life. So full of love for his family. Dear God, how can he be replaced? Well, he can't. But those close to him will get to know he hasn't gone anywhere. They will feel his presence every time he's thought of...for the rest of their lives.

God bless Bobby and God bless the whole Gubitosi family.

Condolence From: Larry Ryan
Condolence: I was proud o have served with Bob on the Board of Directors of The Uscg Lightship Sailors Assoc. Bob served as 2nd VP retiring just this past October after 10 years. He and the love of his life, Kathy, took charge of refreshments with the ladies aux and did a fantastic job.
Bob met with me on several occasions setting up various activities for the group. The Uscg Lightship Sailors Assoc is a better organization due their contributions and efforts.
"A job well done, rest in peace" BZ

Condolence From: John & Annie Hughes
Condolence: Dear Penny, Dennis and Maureen,
We were so saddened to hear about the loss of your brother Bobby. He was a wonderful person...always so very sociable, kind and caring (just like your mother and father). We truly enjoyed our discussions with him (especially political)and his keen insights when we met at family gatherings. Our heartfelt condolences also to dear Kathy and her children and grandchildren.
"Those we love don't go away
They walk beside us every day
Unseen, unheard, but always near
Still loved, still missed, forever dear."
May God keep him in His care always.
Love, John and Annie

Condolence From: Richard Wilkins Jr
Condolence: I knew Robert during his years as a Lieutenant at The Annandale Correctional Facility. I admired him for his sense of fair play in a business that has very little of that. He was a good man! I am saddened to here of his passing, but glad that he got to enjoy his retirement with his family!

Condolence: My sympathies to the family and friends. I worked with Bob for May years and enjoyed his wisdom and ways. We learned a lot from each other and he was outstanding in representing the Supervisors in the union.

Condolence: My Deepest Condolences to the Gubitosi family. I worked with Bob at Annandale Correctional Institution, and he was the first Supervisor that I interacted with he was my Sgt. and I was a rookie Correction Officer. In fact my first official Departmental report I had to write was under his direction.

Bob, otherwise referred to as Gubi had a unique form of supervision and it was almost always comical. He was a good man and well respected because he always protected those under his supervision. There were so many laughs and stories to tell when Gubi was involved. Gubi loved to interact with everyone and he was full of stories and always enjoyed a good conversation. Gubi was cunning and devious in his methodology but being that it was Gubi you knew you was in good hands. He always had a hustle and some other objective that only he was aware of, but you knew it was in your best interest not to question him but follow down the road that you had no clue as to where you going. Most of the time everything worked out great unless he was questioned by his superiors.

Gubi talked me into taking a vacation to Hilton Head one time and of course I had to rent his Condo there, that was the whole purpose of going on vacation there. Actually, it was great I had never been to Hilton Head and I enjoyed the atmosphere, beaches and restaurants.

May all the Laughs and Stories that Gubi told assist the family during this trying time. May he rest in peace.
