Dian J. Hurtzig, 81, of Weatherly died Thursday, September 18 in the Weatherwood Nursing Home.

She was the wife of the late Karl W. Hurtzig who passed away in 1992.

Born in Queens, NY she was a daughter of the late Rex Jonathan and Hazel (Stanley) Lee.

She had been a bookkeeper for the Middlebay Country Club in Long Island, NY for thirty five years, retiring in 2007.

She was of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by two sons, Karl Hurtzig of Effort and Glenn Hurtzig of Hobe Sound, FL; a brother, Kenneth J. Lee of Pinehurst, NC and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Allsion Hurtzig in April of 2007.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, September 23 from Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, Long Island, NY. Interment will follow.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, PA is in charge of arrangements.
