Ada M. Bisbing, 89, of Reeders died Tuesday, October 7 in Pleasant Valley Manor, Snydersville.

She was the wife of the late George Bisbing.

Born in Tannersville, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Pearl (Jumper) Shick.

She had worked as a seamstress at Valerie Fashions in Wind Gap for many years.

Ada was a member of St. Mark's Community Lutheran Church in Appenzell and a life member of the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Co. Auxiliary. She loved camping and enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, crossword puzzles, gardening and fairs, especially the Bloomsburg Fair. Most of all though, she enjoyed her family, especially holiday gatherings.

Ada is survived by a brother, Arthur Shick of East Stroudsburg; four grandchildren, Robert Sargent and his wife Cynthia of Reeders, James Sargent and his wife Denise of Reeders, Larry Bisbing and his wife Marie of Reeders and Tracy Johnson and her husband Edward of Reeders; seven great grandchildren, Jami, James Jr., Brandon, Jenna, Kyle, Noah and Kristen; two great great grandchildren, Tyler and Kaleb and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Robert Sargent, by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Mary A. Bisbing and by many brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 11 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Felker officiating. Burial will be in Tannersville Union Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
