He taught me so much

Uncle Glenn was a kind and caring man.  As a child he would come to my home and play frisbie, quaits, horseshoes and basketball.  He taught me how to play these games and how to have good-sportsmanship.  He also showed me how to detail a car so it looked like a professional detailer did it.  He also attempted to teach me how to play pinnochle... although to no avail I still am a complete novice... yet I always had a blast!  As an adult we hung out and he told me stories of our family history and geneology.  He always had patience.  He never had a harsh tone nor word.  He was a religious person.  He read the Bible from start to finish and over the years we had theoligal discussions over what he thought what God wanted us to do and how to do right by the Lord.  He was a wonderful mentor.  He gave to those in need.  When his home burned down to the ground... he did not complain .  He just picked himself up and dusted himself off and started again by remembering that nothing happened without it being for a reason.  I will never forget him for his compassion.  I wil never forget him for his kindness.  I will always remember his happy dispositiion and infectious laugh.  He said "I am not afraid to die... I am ready to go... I am ready to be free of pain... and you need to not be sad but be happy for me... because I am going to Heaven."  He is now with God.  He is now at peace.  I love you Uncle Glenn... The world will never be the same.  One day we will meet again.  I will never forget what you taught me.
