Deborah L. Mooney, 59, of Gilbert, and formerly of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, July 28 in her home.

She was the wife of the late Patrick J. "PJ" Mooney.

Born in Montclair, NJ she was a daughter of Audrey (Dalrymple) Hirth of Gilbert and the late LeRoy F. Hirth.

She had worked as a waitress off and on for thirty years, four of which were spent at the Chestnuthill Diner in McIlhaney.

Deborah was very artistic and loved to do crafts. She was a member of the former Swiftwater United Methodist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by four sons, Jose Betancourt and his wife Jenise of Gilbert, Stephen Betancourt and his fiance Katie of Glen Gardner, NJ, Patrick Mooney Jr. of Marshalls Creek and Gunnery Sgt. Timothy Mooney and his wife Tamara of Las Vegas, NV; a brother, James Hirth in FL; two sisters, Patti Daniel and Pamela Jones, both in PA; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation will take place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
