Ronald W. Downey, 65, of Brodheadsville, died on Monday, August 17 in his home.

He was the husband of Denise L. (Ciccarelli) Downey.

Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Patrick and Sadie (Rosenbloom) Downey.

He worked as an elevator mechanic for over 35 years.

Ronald was an avid member of IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers).

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Erika Lynn Lemaire and husband Frank; four nieces, Stacey, Melissa, Katelyn and Savannah; three grandchildren, Brynn, Frankie and Travis. He is preceded in death by his sister, Patricia (Downey) Matthews.

Viewings will be held from 1:00 PM-4:00 PM and 7:00 PM-9:00 PM on Saturday, August 22 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville. Cremation will be held at the H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. Burial of the ashes will be on a later date at the convenience of the family.
