Elnora Keiper, 99, of Blakeslee, died Sunday, November 29 in her home.

She was the wife of the late Robert Keiper.

Born in Pocono Lake, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Jennie (Elwine) Berger.

Elnora had worked for years taking care of people's homes and also their families in the Pocono Lake area.

She was a member of the Pocono Mountain Women's Club and was active in raising money for the Smile project. and other children with disabilities charities. She also raised enough money for an ark for the Heifer project. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Historical Association of Tobyhanna Township. She was a member of the Clymer Library and a past member of it's Board of Directors. She was a volunteer for many years for the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days.

She was a member of the Blakeslee United Methodist Church and she served on the Board of Directors of Blakeslee Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Sam Keiper and his wife Gloria and Darwin Keiper and his wife Sandi, all of Pocono Lake; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Norbert Keiper, a daughter, Beverly Keiper and by two brothers, Bradley and Delbert Berger.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 3 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Joseph Healey officiating. Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Pocono Lake Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 12:30 PM until the time of the service.
