Obituary for James L. Palmer

James L. Palmer, 80, of Jonas, died Thursday, December 31 in the Getz Personal Care Home, Jonas.

He was the husband of the late Lois K. (Page) Palmer.

Born in Winchester, VA, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Mary (Dicks) Palmer.

James served his country for twenty years in the US Navy. Upon retirement from the Navy, he worked in the Pleasant Valley School District.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sciota.

He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Palmer of Effort and Deborah Consalvo and her husband Robert of Flemington, NJ; two granddaughters, Gina Hassick and Dana Consalvo; a sister, Patsy Puffenberger of Winchester, VA and a brother, David Palmer or Winchester, VA.

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 7 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Felker officiating. Cremation will have taken place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2158 N. Main Ave., Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
