Obituary for Eleanor A. DeHaven (James)

Eleanor A. DeHaven, 78, of Brodheadsville, died Wednesday, March 16 in Spring Village at Pocono in East Stroudsburg.

She was the wife of the late Joseph W. DeHaven.

Born in Pen Argyl, she was a daughter of the late Wesley Thomas and Arlene (Frantz) James.

A graduate of Pen Argyl High School, Eleanor worked for Instrument Specialties in Delaware Water Gap for ten years, retiring in 2000. Prior to that she had worked at Nova Sportswear in Brodheadsville for over twenty years.

She was a member of Zion United Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville.

Eleanor loved snowmobiling and baking. She enjoyed traveling and going to school plays and various shows and going to the West End Fair.

She is survived by three sons, Troy DeHaven and his wife Beth of Brodheadsville, Gary DeHaven and his wife Shelly of Effort and David Wesley James and his wife Judy of Easton and five grandchildren, Kennedy DeHaven, Taylor DeHaven, Kylie DeZinna, David James and Heidi James.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 19 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Ann Melot officiating. Burial will be in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
