Obituary for Henry Mosier

Henry Mosier, 71, of Saylorsburg died Friday, March 11 in the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.

He was the husband of Linda (Haydt) Mosier. They had observed their 48th wedding anniversary in September.

Born in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Ted and Ruth (Hawk) May.

A jack-of-all trades, Henry worked as a cabinet maker for Effort Woodcraft for 46 years, retiring in 2006.

He was an Army veteran of the Viet Nam War and a member of the VFW Post 739 in Bangor and the American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert.

Henry enjoyed hunting and fishing and he loved his tractors, restoring several. He was a member of the Old Tyme Tractor club and the West End Fire Co.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Susan Mosier of Saylorsburg; a son, Scott Mosier and his wife Joyce of Palmerton; three sisters, Norma Walsh of Stroudsburg, Edna Bennison and her husband Jim of Stroudsburg and Anne Litts and her husband Ralph of Matamoras and three beloved granddaughters, Gabrielle and her fiancé' Joe, Ashley and Natalie. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Walt and Donald.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 16 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Robin Fisher officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Hillside Cemetery, Effort. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
