Alberta M. Meeker, 66, of East Stroudsburg died Thursday, March 31 in the Pocono Medical Center.

Born in East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Helen (Sargent) Hastings.

Alberta loved bingo, crossword puzzles and watching television. In her younger days she used to hunt and fish.

She was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by three children, Keith Meeker of Bartonsville, Carlann Dolecek of Summit Hill and Stanley Meeker of East Stroudsburg; a sister, Dorothy Strauch of Stroudsburg; five grandchildren, one great granddaughter and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Hastings and by her true love, Albert Rhyder.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, April 4 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville. A viewing will be held on Monday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service.
