Jane Helen Gower, 85, of Bangor, and formerly of Wind Gap, died Sunday May 8 in the Slate Belt Health & Rehab Center.
She was the wife of the late Wilbur A. Gower.
Born in Pen Argyl, she was a daughter of the late William Voorhees and the late Clara (Bonney) Voorhees Rasley.
She had worked at the R & R Toy Factory in Pen Argyl for twenty years before retiring.
Jane enjoyed watching TV, reading and square dancing. She loved going to Canada.
She was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ in Kunkletown.
She is survived by a son, Charles Taylor Jr. and his wife Dina of Pen Argyl; a granddaughter, Sheridan Taylor; a step-brother, Melvin Rasley of Pen Argyl and a step-sister, Carri Smith of Nazareth. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Melvin Rasley, brothers, Earl and Carl Voorhees, a sister, Fay Hoffman and a step-sister, Jennie Caseabeer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 12 from St. Matthew's UCC with Rev. Suzanne Brooks-Cope officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
