Obituary for Maurice G. Andrews

Maurice G. Andrews, 101, passed away on Wednesday, November 30 in Abington Manor, Clarks Summit.

He was the husband of the late Mary (Tucker) Brink Andrews.

Born in Gilbert, he was a son of the late Charles and Emma (Smale) Andrews.

Maurice had worked as a custodian at East Stroudsburg University for fifteen years before retiring and previously he had worked for ten years at a paving company in Stroudsburg. Prior to that, he had owned and operated school busses in the Pleasant Valley School District and he had also done some farming in Saylorsburg.

He was a WW II Army veteran and a life member of the American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert. He was also a member of the VFW in Stroudsburg.

He is survived by four step-sons, Randy Brink of Reeders, Steven Brink of Shickshinny, Wayne Brink of Berwick and David Brink of Swiftwater; a step-daughter, Cathy Crum of Blakeslee; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 2 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville. Burial with full military honors will be in Gilbert Cemetery. A viewing will held on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
