Obituary for Peter A. Lambert

Peter A. Lambert, 80, of Kunkletown, passed away peacefully January 5, 2016 at home. He was the loving companion of Junne E. (Snyder) Hook.
Born September 8, 1935 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Violet (Kilpatrick) Lambert and Robert A. Lambert.
A 1954 graduate of Liberty High School, he served in the United States Navy from 1954 - 1961 as a Petty Officer 3rd Class aboard the USS Arcadia. Prior to his retirement, he worked at Ronson Corporation then Instrument Specialties as a machinist. Peter was known by many for his love of rocks, having a vast collection as well as for his buffalo, trains, Abraham Lincoln, and American Indian collections. During the summer he could be found at local flea markets, picking berries, bird watching, or listening to music and eating hamburgers at the West End Fair. He was known by many for his height, cowboy hat and Abe Lincoln beard. He had a passion for nature and wildlife by feeding the birds and ducks, watching the white snowy owl or helping an ill chipmunk.
In addition to the love of his life, Junne, he is survived by son, Paul A. Lambert of Stroudsburg, son-in-law, Don H. Hoffner, Sr. of Saylorsburg, daughter-in-laws Carol M. Hook of Pequannock, N.J., and Joan M. Hook of Jonas. Seven grandchildren, Jennifer M. Henry, wife of Patrick, of Effort, Andrea R. Hoffner of Marlboro, N.Y., Elizabeth M. Hook of Pequannock, N.J, Don H. Hoffner, Jr. of Blakeslee, Stephanie E. Lambert of Stroudsburg, Morgan L. Hook and Amanda M. Hook of Jonas. Two great-grandchildren Graydon H. Hoffner and Gabriella A. Koshefsky. His cats, Hobo who was always by his side, Corporal and AJ. He was preceded in death by daughter Linda A. Hoffner.
Visitation will be held from 2 - 4 pm, Saturday, January 9, 2016 followed by a prayer service with the Rev. Robbie Robertson officiating at the William H. Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, PA. Private burial will be at the Green Ridge Cemetery, McIlhaney.
