LaRue A. Wentz, 87, of Allentown, died Thursday June 16 in her home.

Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late John and Laura (Ziegenfus) Wentz.

She had worked for Valerie Fashions in Wind Gap for twenty years before retiring in 2005 and previously she had worked at Dotter's Market in Pen Argyl for twenty years. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.

She was a member of Mt. Eaton church in Saylorsburg.

LaRue loved bingo and enjoyed playing parchese and the card game skip-bo.

She is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 21 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville with Rev. Douglas Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Towamensing Cemetery in Palmerton. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
