Obituary for Dean David Kreger

Dean David Kreger, 58, of Greentown, passed away Friday, July 20 in St. Luke's Hospital-Monroe Campus.

Born in Palmerton, was the loving son of Mitchell Kreger and Dorothea "Dottie" (Haydt) Kreger.

Dean was a heavy machinery mechanic at 5 Star Equipment (Monroe Equipment) in Snydersville for many years. He later began working in maintenance at the Marshalls Creek Flea Market.

Dean loved boating up near the Lake Wallenpaupack area, where he also enjoyed spending a lot of his time fixing up his home near the lake. His family considered him as a "Professional Recreationalist".

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Suzanne "Suzie" Kresge of Sciota, Melissa Kreger-Daycock and husband David of Boise, ID; three nieces, Karey Kresge of Little Gap, Abigail and Isabelle Daycock, both of Boise ID; and a nephew, Ryan Kresge of Little Gap.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 24 at 11:00 AM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville with Rev. Kathryn Foster officiating. Burial of the ashes will follow in Trachsville Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 24 at 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
