It's been many years since Consolidated Freightways closed but some of the best years of my life were there. And Don Beck was one of the best men I had the very distinct honor to have known. When I first moved out to the West End I was invited to carpool with Don, Paul Slivka and Roy Serfass; man! Some of the memories! But there was also a mutual admiration for life, family and good friends. Don Beck embodied all of those and was a genuine treasure of a human being. I will always remember him. "Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him and may his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace."
Fair winds and following seas my friend.
