Elizabeth Galindez is now resting peacefully with the Lord. She passed away on October 7, surrounded by her beloved family and friends at the age of 74 in St. Luke's Hospital- Monroe Campus, in Stroudsburg.

She was the loving wife of Lorenzo Galindez whom she married in 1977.

Elizabeth was born August 4, 1944 in Rio Pierdas, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of the late Guadalupe Sierra Garcia and the late Sabino Garcia.

Elizabeth worked as a Nurse's Assistant in the Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, New York prior to her retirement. Elizabeth, along with her husband, Lorenzo, was a founder and long time active member of the Pocono Grace Seventh Day Adventist Church congregation in East Stroudsburg. She welcomed everyone with a warm smile and a huge hug. She was blessed with the ambition to volunteer for various church activities and organizations. Friends and family could always count on a warm reception in her home, and an open invitation to return anytime.

In addition to her husband, Lorenzo, she is survived by her children, Jesenia Galindez of Brodheadsville, Elizabeth Espino of Brodheadsville; her beloved grandson, Mark A. Valle Jr., currently a student at the University of Tampa; and a granddog, Littles Galindez. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter and a son.

Her life will be celebrated with a graveside service on Wednesday, October 10 at 10:00 AM from the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Mausoleum, 501 Prospect Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
