Joseph John Rock, 68, of Stroudsburg, died Sunday March 13 in Easton Hospital.

He was the husband of Michele (Serra) Rock. They would have observed their 40th wedding anniversary on April 6.

Born in Brooklyn, NY he was a son of the late Marion (Wildes) Rock.

He had worked as a crane operator for the NYC Transit Authority for twenty five years, retiring in 1998.

He was of the Catholic faith.

The most important thing in Joseph's life was his family. He loved them very much and enjoyed spending time with them.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Samantha and Bridget Rock, both of Stroudsburg; a sister, Barbara Governale and her husband Jimmy of Effort and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday March 18 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville. Cremation will follow in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
