Obituary for Lawrence L. Berger

Lawrence L. Berger, 75, of Pocono Lake passed away on Tuesday, July 31 in his home.

He was the husband of Mary Lou (Franks) Berger. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 10.

Born in Wilkes Barre, he was a son of the late Bradley and Elizabeth (Blakeslee) Berger.

He had worked as a carpenter at Pine Crest Development in Tobyhanna for thirty years before retiring in 2013.

Lawrence loved gardening, fishing and hunting. He was a great husband and father and he loved his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Lawrence R. Berger of Pocono Lake; two daughters, Rosemary Berger of Pocono Lake and Michelle Khouri and her husband Fadi of Allentown; a sister, Patricia Ann Jackson and her husband Jimmy in Kansas; three grandchildren, Joseph, Madison and Teagan; an uncle, Jacob Warner of Effort and a brother-in-law, James Franks and his wife Gloria.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 4 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Felker officiating. Cremation will have taken place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 3:00 PM until the time of the service.
